Favorite outfits of the week

It's not always easy to set up mini fashion shoots with my camera during a busy week. But it is a cinch to snap a photo on my phone as I head out the door. So, with that I bring to you snapshots of my favorite outfits for this past week.

Polished Up Tuesday: Sally Hansen Marine Scene

This week I felt like sporting an accent nail. I love my bright colors but sometimes a vibrant blue isn't always the best choice for the office. Instead I toned it down and kept my other nails a classic nude. This way my vibrant polish can stand out without being too in your face.
The polish I chose for my accent nail is Marine Scene from Sally Hansen. This polish applied very sheer with the first coat, but became opaque with the second. The formula also seemed to get thicker at the end of my nail so I had to play with it a bit to make it work. I love the finished product. It's such a beautiful blue for summer (and going to the beach).
The shade on my other nails is OPI's Don't Pretzel My Buttons.

Polished Up Tuesday + Mini OOTD

Long time no post, everyone! As I'm sure most of you understand, life has been crazy and it's easy to get away from things you enjoy to keep up with a daily routine.
With that being said, I'm getting a bit creative this week with Polished Up Tuesday. I was flipping through InStyle's June magazine and was inspired by an article on white nails (high five to any of you having middle school flashbacks).
I love the way this turned out on my nails. I used one of the mini bottles of polish from the brand Petites in French White. The polish applied a bit streaky at first, but the second coat and my top coat smoothed everything out. There was a tiny amount of bubbling (I think I saw one).
I also included a quick OOTD. I'm wearing a pink floral top and white jeans (both bought at JCP last year).

Polished Up Tuesday: China Glaze's Re-Fresh Mint

I'm glad to finally start wearing some of my fun pastel colors for spring. Today I'm wearing Re-Fresh Mint from China Glaze. This polish is a fun mint color that makes me think of the fresh colors of the season. This polish will usually last me about four days before it starts to show any signs of wear. It took two coats to achieve the look above.
